Greek Layered Dip

The life of a ministry leader and his family requires extensive sacrifice and time.  Standing Stone Retreats are designed to help strengthen and encourage ministry couples through a safe and relaxing environment. In these six nights and seven days, enjoy delicious and thoughtfully crafted three course meals created by the loving hands of our Executive Director, Debbie Hogan. For this week’s recipes, we present one of Standing Stone Retreat’s classic dinner appetizers. With a unique twist on your classic greek layered dip, take Debbie’s recipe home and prepare a healthy and delicious appetizer for friends and family.

 Dip

1 (8 oz.) container cream cheese with chives and onions

1 (8 oz.) container hummus (whatever flavor you like)

3 plum tomatoes seeded and chopped (or 2 Tbsp. diced sundried tomatoes)

½ cup olive tapenade (Trader Joes has a great one)

1 (4 oz.) container crumbled feta cheese (plain or Mediterranean style)

1 Tbs. chopped cilantro or parsley

 

Instructions

  1. Spread cream cheese into an 8 inch circle on a plate or use an 8 “pie plate.
  2. Top with hummus, tomatoes, and Sprinkle with feta cheese, & cilantro.
  3. Serve cold with Pita Chips and fresh veggies.
