
Dr. Byung Dal and Dr. Young Jin Kum were both born in South Korea. They were married in 1982, and have been married for 35 years. Byung Dal & Young Jin committed their lives to Christ (1976) and were active members in Korea Campus Crusade for Christ, After graduation with BA degrees from University (1980), they started ministry as staff of KCCC. They have 3 grown sons and are now grandparents to 3 beautiful granddaughters.

1989: Back to Korea and assigned as the Director of Education Department of KCCC
1991: Added assignment for Family Ministry in KCCC (translated books on Family Ministry)
1992: Added assignment for Soon Bible Training Center (Seminary for lay people)
1993: Ordained as pastor for Asian Mission (including North Korea)
1994: Served as Associate pastor for Korea Military Academy Chapel
1995: Director of Family Ministry in KCCC
1995: Started Doctor of Ministry program in Fuller Theological Seminary
1999: Published first book-Why Your Marriage Tarries (in Korean)
Byung Dal and Young Jin immigrated to U.S.A in 2002.
2002: Graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary (May 2002)
2002-2012: Associate pastor at Sa-Rang Community Church as Director of Family Ministry
2005: Published new book on Pre-Marriage (Formula for Successful Marriage, In Korean)
2005: Translated Couple Check Up (follow up test of Prepare/Enrich)
2006-08: Translated Divorce Care & Grief Share (Materials of Church Initiative) into Korean
2008: Young Jin Started D. Min. program in Talbot School of Theology
2010-14: Family Ministry Mission trip to Korea with Talbot D. Min. cohort Team
2011: Published new book on Marriage (Happiness Formula for Couples, In Korean)
2012: Resigned from Sa-Rang Community Church and joined Kernel University Faculty
2015: Young Jin gradated from Talbot for D. Min.
2016: Joined Western Covenant University Faculty (Academic Dean/Program Director)
