Born and raised in Lima, Peru in a loving home, Emma grew up learning about the love of God from an early age; this knowledge has grown and keeps on growing.
Together with David, her husband of 31 years, Emma encourages, supports, and provides a place of rest for the men and women who are in the forefront of God’s army. She is actively involved in their church teaching the marriage and family Sunday school class with David and Pastor Kelly Day. Having been missionaries themselves, Emma understands the challenges of ministry and the expectations placed on those serving the Lord.
The scriptures and songs Emma has learned throughout her life have been the life saver that kept her afloat during a very, very difficult season in their lives. The Lord’s grace, mercy and His strength, and the love and care of many who surrounded them at that time, have brought her and her husband to a place where they didn’t think they would ever be, a place of freedom, victory, maturity and hope for everyone who faces difficulties. Her heart burns with passion to see other men and women get to that place and further still, to be renewed and strengthened, to be free to run the race set before them!
Emma believes the beauty of God’s love, mercy and grace is in knowing that we all are a work in process, this is why one of her favorite verses is Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Emma and her husband reside in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia; they are blessed with three beautiful grown children. An intercessor at heart and worshiper, she also loves baking, cooking, gardening and singing.
