Fred and his wife Lisa have served God in a variety of capacities for over 25 years. Married for an incredible 22 years, Lisa and Fred have served together in New York, West Virginia, Indonesia, New Jersey, Bangladesh and most recently in California. With both Pastoral Ministry and Missionary background, Fred and Lisa are glad to encourage Missionaries and Pastors and their wives to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called them heavenward in Christ. (Philippians 3:14)
Fred grew up attending church, began following Christ as a young child and committed himself to full-time ministry while in College. Fred and Lisa met in Seminary and have served as Missionaries, Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Associate Pastor over Student and Worship Ministries. Fred has specialized in church redevelopment and church planting, Elder training and development and conflict resolution.
During our years of service we have experienced many and varied difficulties and struggles. We have supported co-workers, been supported by others, and been reassured that God plans suffering in our lives in order to develop us a fully-devoted followers of Christ. (Romans 5:3-5)
Fred and Lisa have always sought out opportunities to encourage and support other individuals and couples in ministry to persevere through the temptations and trials that are common to us all. (James 1:2-5, 1 Peter 1:6-7) Fred and Lisa are thankful to serve as Standing Stone field shepherds both individually and as a couple.
Fred and Lisa live in Orange, CA., and have four children aged 21, 19,17 and 14. They attend Southlands Church in Brea. Fred also serves on the board and as Executive Director of Ambassador Network, a church consulting, leadership development and church planting organization. Lisa is an RN with Emergency and ICU experience and currently works as the Clinical Educator in a Pediatric Emergency Trauma Center.
Lisa and her husband Fred have served God in a variety of capacities for over 25 years. Married for an incredible 22 years, Lisa and Fred have served together in New York, West Virginia, Indonesia, New Jersey, Bangladesh and most recently in California. With both Pastoral Ministry and Missionary background, Fred and Lisa are glad to encourage Missionaries and Pastors and their wives to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called them heavenward in Christ (Philippians 3:14)
As a child Lisa struggled with feelings of isolation, depression, suicide, loneliness and rejection. In Christ, Lisa has found the solution to all of her emotional pain. Since being saved in 1985 she has felt called to serve God. The many challenges that Lisa faced as a child of divorce in rural Connecticut have been redeemed as God has built a blend of resilience and grace under fire within her character.
Although serving the Bride of Christ is one of the greatest joys that one can experience, it is not without a cost. Jesus loves His Bride despite the fact that she can be very ugly at times. Through humor, mercy and His grace, Lisa and Fred have endured much for the sake of the Gospel. They are glad to encourage others that they can persevere and see God glorified despite circumstances.
Some of the “Big God Ideas” that feed Lisa’s soul are: 1. The Kingdom is upside down (Things won’t always make earthly sense.) 2, The battle is real (Keep your armor on.), and 3. God is not finished with any of us until we get to see Him in glory (Keep your head in the game.). Nothing is wasted, God is weaving a beautiful tapestry out of each of the threads in our lives. Most of the time, we just get to see the loose ends. He is the potter let him mold you into His image. (Jeremiah 18). If you are struggling or just need someone to listen, Lisa is happy to walk prayerfully beside you and see God bring victory and beauty out of your ashes.
Fred and Lisa have four children aged 21, 19,17 and 14. Lisa has Masters degrees in both Cross-Cultural Ministry and Nursing Education and is a Registered Nurse with Emergency and ICU experience. She currently blessed to work as a Clinical Educator in a Pediatric Emergency Trauma Center. As with most of God’s servants, Lisa would remind you that He uses the weak things of this world, the despised things to shame the wise (1Cor.1:27).
Don, an Ohio native, has served in vocational church ministry for over 41 years. After entering the ministry in 1976 Don has served in various associate positions along with over 23 years as a Senior Pastor. Having had a burden for pastor/shepherds for a number of years, Don seeks to apply his experience by coming alongside ministers as a encourager and safe harbor. Don will be assisting the local church in helping to biblically care for those who minister and serve.
"I see Standing Stone as a much needed outreach to partner in helping shepherds and churches find balance, encouragement, rest and proper application of biblical principals in order to remain strong in their personal walk, marriage and ministry". Don has been married to his first wife Debbie, a native of New Mexico, for 42 years and they together have 3 grown children and 6 grandkids. Don and Debbie are most grateful they all live within a short distance drive.
When Chris and Meg met, they discovered a life partner with similar passions for making the best better. They both loved helping others find their passions and gifting, and mentoring to help others be leaders in their own right. When they started finishing one another’s sentences while on-line, they knew it was a match within two months of meeting. Chris and Meg are still enjoying their honeymoon 15 years later!
Meg has a degree in dietetics. She is a nationally recognized public speaker and trainer in Child Nutrition. Meg is also President of A Higher Level, a consulting firm for school nutrition and menu planning software. Meg loves to cook, entertain and loves photography.
Chris is a retired ship’s master, ship pilot. Together with Meg, Chris is Chief Operating Officer for A Higher Level. He is also the President and founder of Lifewerks Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping individuals and organizations discover and achieve their God-given purpose and calling.
Chris and Meg love being on or near the water and sailing is a big part of their life. They lived a dream on a 41 foot catamaran for 2-1/2 years. They sailed from Maine to Florida and the Bahamas before coming to the San Juan Islands where they have sailed for the last 5 years. They own a beautiful home in Anacortes Washington that is also available for retreats.
As mentors they love being able to relate to leaders and provide an opportunity to strengthen and encourage them. They recognize that healthy, thriving churches begin with healthy, thriving leaders. Providing an avenue for rest and renewal for ministry leaders hits the center of their heart’s passion for God’s Church.
For over 30 years, Phil Christensen has been a vocational Worship Pastor, but at age 60, a fresh call grabbed his heart.
He was troubled as he observed an extraordinary number of worship leaders experiencing burnout or moral failure. God lead him to Standing Stone, which was seeing the same thing.
All ministry leaders live in a fish bowl, but worship leaders carry the added weight of spotlights, subwoofers, and being tasked to draw large, enthusiastic crowds, typically 170 times each year. Those expectations can be lethal to a young artist and his or her family. The flame-outs arrive in forms as predictable as the tragic carnage left behind. Perhaps most frustrating, after the crash, the majority say that simply talking and praying with someone “safe” would have made all the difference. This stuff is preventable.
For six years, Phil wrote a monthly column for Worship Leader Magazine, interviewing hundreds of praise-song writers, worship leaders, Christian artists and pastors. Many of these interviews were extended into two books for Kregal Publications. He's also served as a Worship Development Missionary, has written for Training Resources, Rev, CCM, Integrity Music's website and many on-line sites.
Phil’s been married to Mitzi for 40 years; they have four grown children and a perfect granddaughter. His formal training was at Multnomah School of the Bible, and he's pursing a late-life counseling degree to better “shepherd the shepherds.”

Jeramy has served in pastoral ministry for almost thirty years in senior executive, discipleship and youth roles. While serving within the local church, it’s been his privilege to train and launch many young men and women into ministry. Through all of this, Jeramy has seen clearly that pastors often feel without a pastor themselves. Jeramy and his wife, Jerusha, are particularly prepared for and suited to Standing Stone Ministry, having been refined by the Lord through many hardships. They identify with the challenges other shepherds face - struggles in ministry, parenting, marriage, and physical health. Both Jeramy and Jerusha love meeting with people and encouraging them as they face similar things.
Jeramy received both his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Talbot Theological Seminary. His doctoral dissertation focused on discipleship within the local church. Jeramy and his wife, Jerusha, have also authored or co-authored twelve books on subjects ranging from parenting and marriage to spiritual growth and mental health. God has given the Clarks a genuine love for people and deep empathy for them, which makes them a great fit for Standing Stone.
Jeramy and Jerusha have been married for twenty-one years and have two beautiful girls, Jocelyn and Jasmine. Jeramy enjoys roasting coffee, prayer walking the beach with his wife, hanging out with his daughters, adventure motorcycle riding, pickup basketball, drumming, and surfing.
You can reach Jeramy at email@example.com.

Kevin and Cindy, his wife of 43 years, currently reside in Roanoke, IN and have lived in the Fort Wayne area for 33 years. They have 4 adult married children and 7 grandchildren.
As God continues to lead and open doors of opportunities for serving and ministry through SSM, Kevin has depended on God’s Word to be The Guide Book for direction and purpose (Psalm 119:105). While there are many verses in the Bible that a pastor might use as a life verse, there are three that have been foundational for Kevin throughout his ministry.
Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed…We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.
He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
Cindy comes to Standing Stone Ministry to serve alongside her husband, Kevin. They have been married for 43 years. They have 4 married children and presently 7 grandchildren and with God’s blessing many more. Cindy and Kevin have served in various ministries of the church in Florida and Indiana. In whatever capacity her husband’s role took him she found ways to serve, love, and encourage people. She has a heart for women and especially those who serve in full time ministry. She attended Johnson University. Serving in various ministries along the way of full-time ministry with her husband, she has been in leadership positions in children’s ministry, mentoring, premarital counseling, women’s ministry and hospitality. She is very excited to come along pastors’ wives with love and encouragement, knowing the expectations, struggles and challenges they face.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
As a pastor’s wife for 40 years, Leslie is well versed in the struggles that ministry wives face on a daily basis. She has often referred to them as the true heroes in the church today. Because of the “fishbowl” and “24/7” nature of ministry, Leslie is committed to building a support network for ministry wives that offers a safe and caring environment to process their hurts, frustrations, and disappointments brought on by the unique challenges of being married to a pastor. Leslie believes it is crucial that we come alongside these women and keep them from becoming a ministry casualty.
Leslie has served the church as a Children’s Director, Women’s Ministry Director, and a teacher in Christian schools. As the Director of Communications Leslie uses her gift of writing to share the mission of Standing Stone, as well as insights into ministry life, through blog posts, articles, letters, and social media. In addition to their director roles, Leslie and her husband, Ken, serve as Shepherds and Retreat Shepherds.
Before joining Standing Stone Leslie and Ken co-directed Marriage Growers International. They have had the privilege of encouraging thousands of married couples domestically and internationally, helping them to increase their levels of partnership, unity, closeness, and satisfaction, which are vital to the health and longevity of marriage.
Leslie and Ken have three grown children and four grandsons. They feel privileged to be working in this crucial ministry together.

As a teenager Ed committed his life to Christ. This commitment included a desire for a strong and lasting marriage (now for over 46 years) and for a ministry in which God would use him to encourage others. That is what he has done throughout his ministry. As an Associate of Standing Stone Ministry, he is available as a sounding board and encourager to pastors who are in danger of burnout and leaving the ministry.
Ed is an ordained minister, and certified as a Pastoral Counselor, a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, and a Transitional Pastor. He has many years of experience both in the pulpit and one-on-one counseling. Ed graduated from Bible College and Colorado Christian University. Linda has been in ministry with her husband for over 42 years and served at Dallas Theological Seminary for over 15 years. As a wife, mother, missionary and pastor’s wife, she has seen the fallout that comes to ministry homes when burnout, moral failure and discouragement happen. Often the untold tragedy of these actions is the affect it has on ministry wives.
Linda feels called to serve and encourage these wives to love their Savior, their husbands, their children and the church. Her service as a pastor’s wife in the church as well as several other non-profit ministries, has equipped her for understanding and mentoring other women.
Linda graduated from Bible College and University of Central Oklahoma. She has been privileged to speak and share at churches, seminars, and other teaching events.
Linda and Ed reside in Pagosa Springs, CO and have two grown married children and four grandchildren.
