Dwayne Rufener

Dwayne has been involved in full time ministry for 38 years as a youth pastor, associate and lead pastor. Since finishing Bible college (where he met his wife Shirley) he has been ordained through Foursquare and Assemblies of God. He served as the President of the Ministerial Association in his city for 15 years, bringing together, leading and encouraging pastors of several denominations. He has had the privilege of traveling oversees on missions trips to the Philippines, Nigeria, and Sri Lanka to put in water wells, preach and also to teach pastors in bible colleges.
Dwayne grew up as a pastor's kid and saw both the fruit of ministry and the hardships his parents faced. Shirley grew up in a very different environment, so together they have a well rounded view of family life and draw on each of their experiences, good and bad. They strive to be a loving and healthy example to couples. Even in the face of serious health issues, disappointments and burn out, you can have a happy marriage. They have been blessed with two talented and successful grown children, and other kids God has placed with them for a season.
